A great pub, good food and comfortable bedrooms

This is a shabby hotel, poorly maintained and grubby. Dirty carpets. Broken window catches and blind in the bedroom. Sunken mattress and torn linen on the bed. No toiletries in the bathroom. Bedside lamp not working. Bathroom floor in need of replacement and cleaning. Service poor. When asked for evening meal had to be by 7.30pm from a very limited menu. No bar staff in attendance on two separate occasions. Not worthy of one star rating. I've walked out of better in the past and would have done so here if there had been an alternative. Very disappointing.

A nice place ,it was busy on the night I attended a quiz there, it's tucked away from the main town. A good location in my opinion! At the Whittlesey conservative meal on 12 Nov the meal was excellent.

Fantastic. Exactly what I was looking for. After a hard day at work I was made welcome by all. My room was lovely and comfortable and they knew I'd previously had a bad experience with another hotel and went out of their way to make me feel safe and relaxed. I even got on stage for open mike night. This is what I look for a good pub lovely service and clean comfortable rooms. Thank you all sorry I checked out a bit late. I would definitely come here if I'm working in the area.

Having stayed here for several nights, I was excited to return for a 2nd time. What a lovely place to stay, staff are absolutely lovely, accommodation spot on, beds very comfortable, breakfast is included with price and definitely shouldn't be missed. Place was clean, fresh, very welcoming and accommodating. The building is old but so very pretty and quirky it's great. Parking available too and all at a super price. Highly recommended will definitely be back there again.

I am unable to review the rooms as we only stopped for a Sunday Carvery, but the service was efficient and very friendly. We had not prebooked but a table was found. The dining room was reasonably busy. As we were not having starters, we were able to go directly to the carvery- no waiting. A choice of Turkey, Beef, and Pork, then help yourself to veggies. All very nice, food was hot and portions of meat were good. The rum and rasin cheesecake desert with cream was an ideal end to the meal. We will definitely be returning.

Cold shower. There is no hot water in the room. The walls in the bedroom were fulling down as we were in bed. Rip in the carpets in the room. Bed sheets with stains on. Small breakfast. No mushrooms hash browns black pudding. Overpriced. Was not asked what egg we wanted. Or if we have food Allergings. The hotel manager was quite rude to ask guess to leave the rooms at 9 o'clock in the morning. Check out time on the booking was 11am. Because he had a guess coming this afternoon. Avoid this hotel.

Was there on a course friendly enough staff place could do with an upgrade and the car park could do with a clear out to fit more cars in an extension on the back a little could do to make the toilet facilities a bit bigger but very close to town

A hotel with a wonderful atmosphere and great location. The bed was very comfortable and if the rooms only had a fridge and wifi I would be back on a regular basis.

Went for food on Monday night .greeted by a very friendly barman . Big guy running around everywhere. Gives great customer service . Ordered ham and mustard sandwich , ham was very nice confused as to why the mustard came in a pot rather than in the sandwich though. Also had some Bailey's cheesecake very very nice vanilla tasting cheesecake (didn't taste the Bailey's at all ) I'd come back for the drinks and service for sure !!

My wife and I stayed here this wkend. Very reasonably priced..First class breakfast provided. Central location in village. Friendly atmosphere....historic building and they have a festival called follow the straw bear...annually very popular for locals & tourists. We had a lovely stay and we wish the falcon Inn all the very best for 2024.😎💚☘️👍

We use the restaurant and enjoy the food and drink offered at reasonable prices. Our friends stayed one night a couple of months ago and had a comfortable night.
